Ok, so I am getting a Kicker 15" Solo Baric L7. What is a good amp that is resonably priced that has good power? Also I was looking at this deck, http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product.php?model=CDE-102, is this one any good?

1) Alpine decks are usually pretty good. you cant go wrong with that one. It'll be pretty basic/easy to use, but dont expect any crazy audio adjustment controls from it

2)I would reccomend a different sub for what the 15" L7 costs, but if thats what you want, it'll work just fine

3) For an amp brands, some reliable ones used a lot on these forums are the Sundown amps, Audioque amps, USamps amps. For budget amps, a popular one is hifonics.

I personally would reccomend a Sundown SAZ-1500D, Incriminator Audio 20.1, or a larger hifonics amp like a 2008d (hifonics tend not to do rated power unless you have the electrical to back them up) I like amps to have a little more power than the subs, just to have some leeway.

we need to know what you are looking for, what kind of music do you listen to and are you looking for a rattling trunk, good bump and sound quality, or somewhere in the middle

alpine type-r is a great sub for the money....its considered a "louder" sub so if you want sound quality it may not be for you. you can get two brand new 12" type-rs for $235 shipped then get a hifonics amp that does around 1200-1600 rms at 1ohm. you would want two dual 4ohm subs to get a final load of 1ohm. a single dual 4ohm sub can be wired at 2ohm or 8ohm. a single dual 2ohm sub can be wired at 1ohm or 4ohms. so when choosing you sub/amp, keep this in mind.

What about two of the Kicker CVT 12's and an Audioque 2200? Would that be a good setup? Also to answer what type of music I listen to, I listen to Classic Rock, Reggae and Bay Area Hyphy Rap.
