It will be going into a 1996 Ford Bronco. I have around 1000 dollars to spend and I would like to have a mix of loudness and sound quaility with more influence on sound quality.
Build your own sealed enclosure, with 1.5 cu ft per sub, you have the room in a bronco. Get wiring from wal-mart or http://www.KnuKonceptz.com. It should pound, and sound really good. You may need some electrical upgrades, but worry about that when your finished everything.
There's a lot to pick from for 1000 dollars. I would say to do some reading here on the forum(the subs and amp sections). If possible go to some local install shops or even BB, Circuit City and just listen to different setups.
get a 15 XXX sub with a mmats 1400.1 amp. can get both for less than 1000.00. have just enough money left over to buy wiring, mdf for box. cant go wrong with this setup at all.
I'd also recommend for your application 2 Stereo Integrity magnum d2's. AMAZING SQ...and they get really loud. Match them up with the tsunami db1800 and you'll be wangin. Drop them in a ported box with 2 cubes each ported @30hz and u'll be amazed.
Before I do anything I am going to try and listen to some installs on the different setups. Some of my friends have the W7 and i cant say anything but ****.
well, just be smart. ONE 12W7 and an amp to power it well will cost nearly as much as TWO magnum d2's (which...one is comparable to a 12w7) and an amp to power them. keep that in mind...with the magnums you are paying for quality...with the w7 you're paying more for the name. peace
