The Z6's are (in my opinion) the definition of "loud and clear". There are other speakers that'll get as loud and cost less, but very few are as clean at high power levels.

Tweeter stores carry Boston. Also check out MB Quart "Q" series. And Kicker's new SS Series components are getting rave reviews as well.

2 ways are woofer and tweeter, 3 ways have a separate midrange driver. I've never heard 3 way components, so I can't comment on if it matters or not.
