I need an amp for running components and need recomendations

I guess my biggest question is are there amps or amp manufacturers that are better for components or sq spks.? If so give me some preffered manufacturers and amp models. I need a 2 channel amp. w/ around 80w rms @ 4 ohms. I would really prefer to keep the price reasonable w/ some recomendations in the low $100's and on up. TIA.

Not really. Just stay away from the low low end stuff like Legacy, Pyramid, etc.

Yeah. Like Squeak said. Ultimately there is no real difference. However, you should always take into consideration build quality, reliability, performance (whether a manufacturer vastly over or underrates their products), etc. Also, check out the features of the amp. Crossover slopes, balanced inputs, bass EQ, etc. can play an important role in fine tuning a system. All of these things are what usually seperate the better amps from the mediocre/not so good amps...generally speaking.
