I've been a pack a day to a carton a week smoker for 7 years, and had been smoking for nearly 10 years. With the increases in price, and some other changes in my life I had decided enough was enough. I had to quit. Problem is, I have a very addictive personality and I have add. The physical fixation was just as hard if not harder than the nicotine addiction itself. Then I found out about these electronic cigarettes. Figured I'd give one a shot. WOW! I haven't bought a pack of cigarettes in 7 weeks now. It feels great. I'm already on the low dose of nicotine for the liquid and plan on getting off the nicotine addiction altogether in the next month.

The great thing is I don't feel that addicted to these things. I still get nicotine cravings, and so I'll pull this out. But on a normal day by noon I would've had 3 or 4 cigarettes before work, and 2 or 3 at work by now. I've used this e-cig once today and that's it. Anyways else want to quit smoking without having to actually quit, really should try one.

Anyone else using one?

This is where I've been ordering them from. She's a fellow michigan resident so they come in 1-2 days which is nice. That kit for $75 is a pretty good deal. You do have replace all the parts though. Batteries go out, the atomizers go out, and the cartridges with the filters burn up. But it's still less than $50/month. Realistically I think I'm spending about $30-35 a month on them

Reading ftw! Yes I am still addicted. The thing is, these aren't to quit smoking. They are a safer smoking alternative. But they also make non nicotine liquid to refill with too. It's pretty easy to ween off of the nicotine.

I do have to be honest though. As much as I love this, it doesn't do it at the bar. When I drink, I want a real cigarette. Other than that, it's perfect. Look at some youtube videos. They put out this vapor "smoke". You get the whole experience of smoking, while it's legal to use in most non smoking restaurants. I've used it in all sorts of public places too. I was in a non smokers car and they didn't even realize I was using it. No odor or anything.

Interesting. Good for you, it should be easier to dump the habit completely when you ween yourself off nicotine. I found the habitual process to be more difficult to beat than the chemicals though - hope this doesn't happen to you.

True, everyone worries about the physical addiction, but the mental addiction is what usually sabotages a person's attempt at quitting. If you haven't wrapped your brain around wanting to quit, you wont quit.
