I love gettign free stuffand i got alot of it this time... $1900+

well its been a good week this week, got 1st place at a comp and won 1300$ and got my laptop ive been waiting on(dell xps m1330)

spent the 1300 and bought a set of boston Pro60 components, A Boston G5 12, and i got them to thrown in the GTR free because they had no use for them, and a K40 rd850 radar dector

total price of all was over 1500$

pro60s: 599$

G5: $399

GTR: $129

Rd850: $299

all i had to pay was 60$ because i went over a little bit, but 60$ for all that is fine for me

and since dell took so long on my laptop they gave me 150$ credit, i bought the MX mouse for my computer because i need a new one and a bag(didnt come yet)

the MX mouse was 99$ and the bag was $50...all free

somehow got my dad to pick me up the VX mouse for the laptop so that came out free was on sale for 50$

and i have a full scholarship + other scholar ships for money so i picked up a ti 84+ at the campus bookstore...was 150$

total comes out to a little over $1900

Well you got $1300 from winning a comp? What kind of comp are you talking about? If it's any kind of car competition you probably spent a LOT of money to win this $1300. The amount you spent probably is more than the amount you won.

On top of that, you didn't get ANY of this stuff for free. You might be able to argue a present from someone as a free gift or a scholarship as something. But using the $1300 you won, is spending money. You SPENT $1300 of YOUR MONEY on stuff. If you hadn't bought things, you would have an extra $1300 in your pocket. So you did pay for it, and none of that was free.

The only way this would make sense, is if someone dropped of $1900 worth of stuff at your front door for no reason at all. That would be free stuff. But last I checked spending $1300 of your own money, wasn't getting anything for free lol.

i guess if you want to dig deep into it, i did buy the system...so yeah...i did pay to be in the competitions...but i did all of that for my self, ive gotten my enjoyment out of that money...but this money has no other uses than what i did with it

i could of bought stuff and sold it, but at what... maybe half of what i paid for it with my store credit
