It did take 6 weeks, give or take and cost was no different for asking prices on a pair of Excel 8's from Madisound.

Yea but Lotus is Seas flagship line isn't it? I mean since it's not a production driver what's the comperable sister driver in the Excel line? Lotus would be the flagship automotive line. Excel the flagship home line. The Excels and smaller current Lotus are mag cones- for whatever reason this model is not. But otherwise I think the Excel and Lotus lines are very much comparable in terms of quality/performance- just for diff realms. I mean it would be a shame to put some Excels and those purdy plase plugs in an car door to not appreciate their aesthetics and deal with the worst the automotive environment has to offer.

Either way should make for the strong edgy, snappy and detailed response. I doubt I'm taking this puppy past 700-800hz in my 3way, but good to know I can play around with other ideas. The Morels got me plenty of output and midbass, what I'm looking to achieve is better precision at those frequencies and should see an improvement in the lower vocal range. The Morels no doubt are great midbasses in a traditional midbass application, but I'm using large dome midranges in which I need a little help into the lower midrange areas.
