As the title says, I learned how to play The Trooper by Iron Maiden...
Now, I did this with out my guitar plugged into an amp. Once I got it packed, I hooked my guitar to my amp... and I realized it doesn't sound anything like it...

But, I know there's a few Guitarists out there.. what's a decent, cheap distortion pedal? I was thinking either the pedal, or one of those effect things. I'm not sure what they're called, but they have a bunch of different effects with an up and down pedal. Not sure how much they cost, though. $'s a big factor since I'm broke and no one (not even McDonald's) is hiring in Miami.
