Which do you think would be louder.....a ported XXX 15" in 4 cubes 30hz off 1500 watts

or 2 12"Li's of 1000-1200 watts in a sealed box

if not louder in a sealed than how bout a ported box?

I would deffently put the LI's in a ported box. They will get mad loud and they sound great!!! Would take a pair of LI's over a XXX anyday...

a XXX 15" would be pretty B.A. in a box like that taking 1500. hmm. Decisions decisions. Im sure the XXX and the amp will be cheaper. But depends on what you want.

I think it depends on the sub because some subs are meant just for a sealed or ported enclosuer, but intearn some can go into both and sound good either way

ive heard the LIs are potent little subs comparable to the L7 in SPL, id say two of them would be a good setup.
