Well here lately ive been wanting a new amplifier, preferably something with alot of extra power to spare so when I upgrade subs in the future the power will be there ya know. Well ive been looking around on ebay and ive decided to go ahead and save up 240 bux and get me a Hifonics Brutus BX1000D amplifier. Tell me what ya think? Would it be a good deal for me and would it work with what I have right now till I can get something better? Im sure it could, just keep the gains turned down.

Someone posted on another forum that Sound domain has some killer prices on DEI amps. You may want to check them out as well.

yea just keep the gains down. u'll be fine. might want to see what ur alt is rated at. might just need to rewind for 20 or 30 amps.

Well I already know what the factory alternator amperage is. Ive got it listed in my sig but its 100 amps stock anyway. I checked my charging system voltage today to with the car at idle and my amp playing lil jon and the eastside boyz just to the point of clipping and when the amp is hitting as hard as it can im hitting 14.2 volts at the amp with a 8 guage wiring kit which I think is pretty darn good lol. But yea im sure the 100 amp alty can handle the Brutus BX1000D at 2 ohms which will prolly be the only thing I will ever run it at, and thats only 700 watts plus its a class D amp so it will prolly pull just as much, maybe a little more than my amo right now since it will do 410 rms with only a 30 amp fuse in my wiring kit fuse holder without ever blowing it or prolly ever getting close.

Save another $30 and buy a bx1500d.

lol im not exactly trying to power my entire town here. Besides before I do that im gonna save up again and get some components and then get another amplifier, not sure yet as to what im gonna get but ive got a pretty good idea that I want to try out a Lanzar amp since ive heard lots of good comments on them.
