right now I have two elcipse 12s in a sealed box and am sending them 120watts rms each. I really like the sundown 8s that woofercooker is selling and was wondering if 3 8s would be beter then the 2 12s I have now. I want more thump then I currently have. I also was going to put the three 8s I. a ported box that gives each 8 its own chamber. so wich is generally better, my current 12s or three 8s?

You have very limited power. What series subs are the 12's?

Also - do you have the room to port your 12's?

Those Sundown 8's are nice looking subs

I can't find the model of the sub cuase I don't have a computer right now and am doing this from my cellphone. I can tell u that it is the botom of the line sub made buy eclipse. its the one that comes with the grill andits silver. and its single 4 ohm vc. I will try and post a link froma computer in school tommarow. over all though am I better of going with the 8s for more thump?

The 12's have a clear cut cone area advantage! The 8's do have more xmax, but the 12's will still be louder. If you could do 4 8's then i would say go with the 8's. Or just port the 12's and that should do it!

I like the sundown eights. I would get three of those, just because they are good.

The 3 8's ported with rated power will be louder than your 12's with the power you're giving them now.
