So I was doing some research on the effects of voice coil inductance on subwoofers, and I came across this site...

I clicked on mobile audio, and found this...

300mm shallow mount sub woofer

Now, in hindsight, I have no idea what made me think of this. But something clicked in my head, reminded me of the Stereo Integrity woofer that i've seen talked about here. like i said i have NO idea what made me think of it, but i went and checked...

i guess Stereo Integrity is just the brand name? or a company that is marketing and selling Acoustic Development's subwoofer?

The ADI sub is 8ohm, but they do like like the same sub.

They use the same basket, that does not mean they are the same sub. You didn't think SI payed to have that basket made just for them did you?

Using the same basket means certain parameters are the same, such as spider diameter and (probably) coil diameter, but it doesn't make it anymore the same subs as the standard 12-spoke makes a BTL the same as an Avalanche or old XXX.

hmmmnn. oh okay... so some parts are probably from same factory... but could be a completely different sub? gotcha. both seem like theyre pretty high quality though

Correct. Ive seen this basket used on one or two other company's designs so far as well.
