Ok, Box 1 is DONE!!!! Well almost, lol. Here are a couple pics of it...

Double baffle for this one...

The box has it flaws, but they will be fixed as soon as the LI is ready for install. Need to get some speaker wire, I had some here, but it ended up being smaller then I wanted. 16 ga. is a little small in my mind. I want at least 12 but I like to do a little overkill on stuff some times. Wont hurt so why not go all the way. Box isn't air tight (couple bad cuts :-/) but I have the solution to that......DUCK TAPE!!!!!!! It will be pretty ugly but it will get the job done, and thats all i want. More build pics on the SPL box as it developes. Install pics once my HU gets here also.....

Your port legnth is going to be off if that double baffle mounts flush to the box. One end is going to be 1.5"s longer than the other.

If it is going "into" the box, how are you going to fasten the port to the front baffle? Lookin good though.

Hey Matt, how would I fix that, or just don't mount flush??? Will that throw everything off or anything or what???? Not to bad I think for my first experiences with porting a box. Maked a couple crapy sealed ones but nothing as complex as this.

Looky Looky I got panasonicy

Well, the wait is finally over!!! WOOT WOOT YEAS YEAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My 8100 finally came in today. I'm pumped, now just to make a couple of phone calls, set up some dates and hofully by this weekend I will have a new HU, Amp and Sub installed in the buick!!!! :veryhappy: Still working on the box, has a couple issues which need to be solved so i better hurry up and get them done. Thanks guys for all you coments...

Oh yea, if I mount the double baffle flush, how much will that throw off my tuning and everything??? This is more directed toward Matt, since he found my mistake but if anyone can help me there please do!!!

Send me a PM dude. How tall and wide is the front baffle, the first thing that comes to mind would be cutting 1.5" off the top or bottom and 1.5"s off the right or the left. But, since you have the cut-out done already, I would avise taking .75" off each side.

Hey, thanks man! Well it is to late to worry about the baffle now. Finished installing that earlyer today. I also took the long process of colking and duck taping from all the miss cuts I had. Hopfully the colk will dry by tomorrow after school so I can work on it more. I should have everything installed this weekend. Give a freind a call so he can help me install my HU and get my amp hooked up then me get to start bumping away!!!!!!!
