I just dropped under 200

Well for sure it does. I don't expect a quick fix. I guess I just don't want to work against myself. Maybe I'm thinking about it the wrong way, but I still have quite a bit of 'flab' so to speak. So in my mind, losing another 20 lbs, then focusing on building muscle after that seems like the logical way to go, rather than trying to drop weight by burning fat, and building muscle at the same time. Am I looking at it the wrong way?

Look at it this way. The only way to lose weight is to intake less calories than you will use in one day. Period. You do that, you will begin to lose weight. That being said, building and putting on muscle requires that you eat.

However, weight training is still a very aerobic exercise. By starting to weight train now though, you can start conditioning your muscles, building up some strength, and burn a shit ton of calories.

So morale of the story? Take on a very high protein take (might want to put some fiber in there too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ) so that your body can make the most out of every calorie you intake and start weight lifting.

Lifting weights will help get rid of that flab.

P.S A good thing to eat while cutting/losing weights is Cottage cheese.
