04 impala SS? New POS car. 99% of those who aren't black on this site can vouch for that lol
If you truly have a passion for driving, you know the two rules: A car is nothing without character, and if it aint stick it aint worth havin. A new car is devoid of emotion. My last car, a Saab 900, was falling to pieces. But I would have never sold it if I didn't have the money to keep her goin. It was one of the biggest piles of crap I ever drove, but for that reason, it was one of my favorites.
A car I always get a good laugh at is the the new Nissan GT-R. What a joke. I mean, sure, it's fast and all. But it is so full of electronic toys and driving aids that it takes away from the whole driving experience. There is no fun in driving a car that drives itself. At least for a true enthusiast. There is no reward for taking a corner at xxMPH if the electronic aids do all the work for you.
Every old car is going to have character, because they all are going to have issues. My Audi S4 pisses on my foot and spits water out the air vents. It's annoying, but I wouldn't fix it if I had the chance to, unless I planned on fixing EVERYTHING that was wrong with the car, and began to take pride in keeping my car in as perfect condition as possible.
You're probably thinking, "Oh, it's a 94 Audi S4, it's ugly". A car like this has CLASS. People like you are the people who buy cars for flashy looks to impress highschool boys and girls. I take no pride in making that crowd of people drool. It's all about impressing those who have a true passion for cars, not those who think of cars as fashion statements.
