No one was there except me and 2 other guys from class. Im a very good driver, I know the limits of my ride and push them every once in awhile for fun.

I was only going maybe going maybe 8-10mph.

so the lot was empty and you didn't notice how close you were to the pole before you got in the car. you might be a good driver but that doesn't mean shit when your not observant other times. You need to pay attention to things before you get in the car. I can park a car bliind folded if i get out first and look at the area ans see whats around a lot of parking and leaving a parking stall is generally all the same in all parking lots across the country

So far this has been my only real lapse in concentration while driving. I just lazily backed up not worrying cause there was only one car in the lot. And that car was 50ft away. So I wasnt exactly thinking I would hit anything.

Ohh well, now my car has a crazy *** battle scar.

I just can't fathum how poeple hit things in a parking lot while backing up no matter how lazy I am I still back out of a parking stall the same way every time back up for about 4- 6' then start turning the wheel til car is parralel in the aisle then throw it in gear

See thats thing thing. If there was a car behind me, I would of cranked it all the way.

I backed out and only turned it a lil bit. I was planning on making a wide loop through the lot to make it towards the exit.
