i have a 900 watt 2 channel phoenix gold amp.....and i just bought a 2 ohm 12 Kicker L7 sub.......if i hook the shit up, will it function properly, or will i blow the sub or something......i should have researched this more before i bought the sub

First we need to know what model pg amp you have and what kind of voice coil configuration the sub has. I dont think the L7 comes in a single 2 ohm so I am gonna assume a dual 2 ohm. If it is you can wire the voice coils in series giving the amp a 4 ohm load which any pg amp will be able to handle just fine bridged to mono.
