I have two 10" CVR kickers but have no idea what kind of amp i would need.

I know, he'll be at 2 ohms and will get about 600 watts rms. This is just my opinion, but i honestly dont think those cvrs can handle 800 watts rms daily.

I clipped the ish outta my first set on a boss amp,then found a kicker zx1000 for em daily and the Guy I sold em to is still bumpin em to this day.

They will take some abuse! Well I know mine did

For a bit more than 300$, you can get the Soundstream REF1.1000.
A great amp, but your subs won't do it justice, the CVR's don't have the best sound quality, so I think you're better off with a cheaper amp, unless you are buying better subs in the future.

Like i said I'm new to car audio so i don't really know too much. But I'm guessing CVR's ****?

They're not terrible...can get pretty loud when setup correctly.

Don't start thinking they're horrible because people on here say so. U may like them. I did for the price I paid especially

Well this is my first system, and since i am learning very fast that CVR's are horrible, i most likely upgrade in the future.

They aren't horrible, actually they're pretty tough and overall a solid first set of subs.

They arent horrible guys here just use much better stuff which you will learn quickly if you read around... Make sure you build a custom box for them and not buy a prefab and they will get fairly loud just wont have a ton of SQ... since its your first system you will be pretty happy thou Id bet

I've had a prefab box since high school but i can always make a custom, Thanks.

Also it will be a little of a downgrade.

My previous car was a 3000gt with a 2 15" Apline Type-R SWR-1542D Subs and some kind of 15" kicker,

They were hooked up to 2 amps but i don't remember which kind exactly (didn't really care)

I sold the car with the system xD

But i know this is a major downgrade right ;D

Yeah, theyre not horrible. I have a friend that has one in a 2.5 cu ft box tuned to 40 hz. I believe the amp is a kicker zx350.2 and it sounds amazing for a single 10" cvr.
