I have no idea what I am doing... Please Help!!!

Oh, also I was wondering about Boss Audios newer speakers and was wondering what you guys thought of them. Now I know a lot of people don't like Boss Audio, and I found out the hard way that their older series ****. But now I am seeing that they have done alright with their newer Onyx and Phantom Speakers series. I mean look at their sensitivity, build quality, ohms, and power handling. Some of their newer speakers seem to rival even these big names I keep seeing out there like Kenwood, Jensen, Alpine, or Kicker. Now their Subs may not match up to these bigger companies (2000 Watt versus 5000+ Watt that I've seen), but look specifically at their full range speakers and Amplifiers (Be SURE to keep your eyes ONLY on the newer models towards the top of the page), they even have class D rated amps and 6x9 speakers capable of 1000 + watts (500 RMS), available in all 3 configurations (2-Way - 4-Way), who's frequency response, impedance, and sensitivity all either match or are within 1 or two point vales of the bigger companies, and are widely available and inexpensive. I know they aren't the best, but I think they have gotten better.
Boss is pretty much all junk on the same level as Pyramid... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

So then say I get a 4-Door standard car with lets say... 4x6 rear door speakers, 6x9 inch front door speakers, and an easily removable stock head unit to make the project even easier on me. How would you guys suggest I begin building a system for it? I listen too my stereo loud but not very loud (I usually hit 75% volume on my current system which would be about 250 Max Watts or 125 RMS watts per channel. I enjoy all forms of music (from Hip-Hop to Rock to Techno and Dubstep and even a little Blues/Jazz once in a while) and so I would think that the Sub(s) had to be powerful and yet controllable, so possibly two separate amps (since the car will be new anyways and could handle it), the main speaker one being 4 Channel at 1000 Watts (250 Max per channel, 125 RMS), and the Monoblock being 800-1000 Watts (400-500 RMS). Do you guys think this would sound good? Any suggestions, changes you would make to my setup? Also, where do you suggest getting the components from [Head Unit, Amp, Speakers, and Sub(s)]? Would you use 2 or 3-Way speakers for the doors? And how could all this be accomplished while sounding good [Meaning absolutely no Boss Audio SPEAKERS at the very least, but having one of their Amps wouldn't hurt the system I suppose (Its not about where the power comes from, but rather where it goes to, I figured this out when I tested my buddies new Jensen Subs on my Amp, Sooooooo much better!)] and while being on a very strict budget (probably less than $400-$500 for the whole project)?

For $400-$500 your best bet is going to be buying used off of this site or other similar ones or shopping around on Amazon, E-bay and Google. For your speakers anything more than 2-ways is just a gimmick, unless they are 3-way component speakers(midbass, midrange and tweeter). Best scenario find a HU for $100-$150, front speakers $100, Sub $100, 4 or 5 channel Amp $100-$150, assorted wiring, sub box and such $50-$100=$450-$600. Hope this helps out a little.

That sounds perfect. I have no problem buying used equipment as long as it works.

I doubt boss or anyone makes 1000w(500rms) 6x9's, and just because your amp says 600 watts does not mean its 600 watts, research cea-2006 compliant, and when people tell you boss or pyramid or legacy is junk just believe them. You'd be surprised what a real set of door speakers running on a true 100 watts rms sounds like. Id even take a bet and say I got the same bass from my factory Bose system I tore out that u do from your boss sub and amp, I did have 2 8's in my doors
