I am going with two 18" XXX....but....need to ask if i will be happy with 1600watts on each?

And yes i have done a search! so dont tell me to please!

cause if they handle as much power as everyone says they do...i could run 1600watts to each voice coil!

give me your two cents please?

Wow everyone always says that the people on here are so helpfull.....well most of you are all pricks!!!

Ill-Faded...Fantisy eh? I own 2 PPI PCX-2400 (1600watts rms each) and 2 other PPI amps (960 total watts rms) for the front ......and that is all AB class thank you...no D class crap for me! So if its a matter of money...perhaps you should shut your mouth and save alittle longer instead of blowing all of yours on Rockford junk!

I only asked the question because every little bass head on this site talkes about how amazing the XXX line of subs are, and how you need all the power in the world to run them.......

Instead of talking to the people on this site....(in which i bet half of you that have opinions have never even seen a XXX).....i will just talk straight to RE.

you can talk to RE, but i doubt they will say yeah its okay to run 3200 into them, they don't want you to blow it and have to replace it since its under waranty...

i would say 3200 is fine if its just for burps for music, no way...

i have a digital design sub, it takes 1200 rms but that's just underrated by like 400...people push 3000-4000 for burps and that's fine...for music i would say 1600

for xxx you can make it burp and pump 3200 and it will take it just not great unless youplanning to do spl comps and if so you would need a box made just for that

Thungthiendo....THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

That is a simple honest answer...and that was all i was looking for!

I dont need dinks telling me that i dont have the money...or the install would be too much work......just an easy answer to an easy quesion..

The amount of power they require or can handle is dependant upon the box design. No, you don't need 3200W per driver. 1600W per driver will already be unbearable to be in (and cause hearing loss very quickly). If you plan on competing I doubt you'd be asking these questions.
