I have a sudden urge to buy tools

Craftsmen or DeWalt for power tools. Craftsmen has lifetime warranty on all products.
not exactly true.....the warranty on their power tools is non-existant for the most part. You have to send in the defective equip. and wait months for a replacement. Not worth it to me. Their hand tools are free replacement however...just walk into sears and they'll swap it

spend the money on good tools. (Craftsman at least) Your knuckles will thank you! And if you happen to break one, you hand it to them, they hand you a new one no questions asked.

When I was a mechanic I stocked up on craftsman tools.

Since transitioning to car audio I've been a cheap *** and have been buying most hand toold at harbor freight.

Ehhh I believe mac is Stanley. Stanley is geared towards home stuff and mac is more commercial grade. I'm a Matco guy myself, but my tool box is littered with a little of all 3 with some generic stuff.

Stick with a brand that has a lifetime warranty on their hand tools. I know craftsman does, you can do whatever you want to those tools and they will swap them no questions asked. I think snap-on also has a lifetime warranty on hand tools but idk for sure.

This.

I work at Sears and people have come in with like a pair of hedge clipper that look like they tried to cut through solid steel with and we have to replace them because of the warranty.

x2 save up for good tools... take care of them and they will last you forever

buy cheap tools (like i have before) and they break and just generally arent as pleasant to work with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Craftsman hand tools are probably the best bang for the buck.

Snap-on hand tools are the best if money is not an issue.

For power tools, I really like makita, but I haven't had too much experience with any other brands.

I work at a goodyear. I use craftsman, and the only thing that I have ever broken was a pair of pliers that I was hitting with a hammer. lol went to sears and swapped it out for free though. Its good quality stuff

if your on a budget just go craftsmen, cant beat the fact that you can walk right in the store and exchange it if they break. I have more snap on and mac toosl then ill ever need but only because I inherited them. The prices are rediculous

Tools IMO the best order.

1) S&K, reliable. Quality is extremely high. I bleieve they are lifetime warranty

2) Craftsman. The best budget brand period. Lifetime warranty. Great stuff

3) Snap - On. Proly the most well knownn brand. Kinda Pricey though.
