I have a question about making ported enclosures

I have drawn out and got the dimensions for a ported enclosure i wish to make... but when i calculate the slot port length using an online calculator the length of the port is longer than the enclsure itself.

So my question is if the length is longer than the enclosure can I make it an L shaped port and make the port that long or not?

yes...45 degree angles would be optimal also, but not necessary

what size is your port?

some times you can play with the width and make the port shorter
