What sub would you guys suggest? Is the 420 watts for sub channel enough power for a single L7 or Comp maybe. I'm probably going to do one 15" ported. Any other sub you'd suggest. I don't want to spend a whole lot of cash.

420 watts to a 15 L7 is WAY underpowered. i would go with a sub that has about 400 watts rms and 800 watts peak. should be a better match for that amp.

Yeah I was guessing that. Would you suggest any other sub in the Kicker line?

Yeah the sub channel is 420 @ 2 ohm.

Then your closest match would probably be the Comp VR. Its rated for 500 rms dual 4 ohm. Looks like it needs a big box though.

yea i was gunna say the Comp VR also. you will get nice sound from one of them.

Yes. But kicker recommends a 3-5 cu. ft. box when ported. I dont know what kind of vehicle you have but thats a large box.

I have a Tahoe, so I have plenty of room. I doubt I'd go to 5 cu. ft though.
