so let me ask you this.

question: is there a way to set up my information with my employer so that the government takes exactly how much money they need from my paycheck so i dont have to deal with trying to get money back every year?

i mean honestly, i just hate doing my taxes and hoping i get as much money back as possible, never knowing if there was something thats been missed.

Well everyone has to pay a certain amount depending on what they made....any extra is ur refund.

I guess you could raise or lower your dependents with employer and itll take out more tax

Im sure someone can have a better answer

by law...you can claim less but not more dependants than you are entitled to.

Yes. You are free to claim 0 dependents to ensure you pay more than you are required to, then as a long as your sure you have paid more than you own, then you do not have to file a return.

But that would be pissing money away. The better you get at it, the more you will save. You can pay an accountant to help you, but there is still work on your part.

Another option would be to vote for politicians that will reduce the abursd complexity of the tax code. I'm opposed to the flat tax and national sales tax, but the income tax system can be easily simplified.

There is no way for them to know what deductions you will qualify for till you determinte that after dec 31 at the end of the year.

Blame Congress.

I claim 1 paid an accountant 35$ to take care of my taxes and I'm getting 1500$ back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif and I graduated from high school last year, Ballin!

i could be wrong but i really dont think i am. there is NEVER a time where you do not have to file a return. you have to file every year no matter what.

seriously though to the OP. go the hrblock website and do it online. of course i file the ez return because i dont own anything or have any kids but it takes me all of like 10 minutes and its easy as hell. ive been doing my own taxes since i was 18.

No. You are required to pay taxes. There is no law that says you have to file a return. If you over paid and you don't want your overpayment back, the gov't couldn't care less, they are happy to keep it. If you owe taxes and don't file, then they will come after you like Somali's to fried chicken.

Of course the only way to be sure is to either significantly over pay, with no deductions or file a return.
