I hate ricer pipes

i don't think there is anything that pisses me off more than when someone gets a ticket for a little bass.. when every little civic and harley roll around... why don't they get any noise violation tickets!!

on a side note--i was in a hick town once when a cop pulled me over and told me my stereo was too loud.. i rattled of some bs about how its impossible to hear my car from 75 feet because of decible cancellation or something else i made up.. he told me to keep it down and drove away.. just start talking technical and they think you're right..

Ditto, and I have a f***ing audiobahn bandpass, I am suprised I can hear it outside my car, have to hit the mute button everytime I see a cop. I too admit to having a fart cannon, I thought it would sound deeper than it does, but I was wrong. It's all good tho, soon as I get my taxes back I am getting a catback with resonator, lower tone

You really need to take into consideration, though, with motorcycles the loud exhaust really is necessary. It's a much smaller vehicle, it's MUCH harder to see. Exhaust really does help other drivers know when a motorcycle is around. It's more for safety than to annoy. After taking in that perspective, I never whined about a motorcycle again.

I have a full 3" Greddy Evo2 exhaust with a resonator on my Eclipse. The sound is mildly loud, but also very deep. Exhaust + my CAI + my soon-to-be Greddy header = not rice.

a harley that idles louder than a dual flowmaster setup at 2.5k rpm is not neccesary.

me cruising at 60mph, and a harley passes by at 70ish+, my passenger wakes up with all windows closed.

i am an owner of a 1994 honda civic and i must say that it sounds like you ppl in this forum that are bashing on others cars because of the way they sound need to specify. A few of you have specified and said ricers but others think that if you drive an import or even a domestic, that they are automatically considered a ricer. Well thats wrong. My car has a stock exterior/interior except for a new suspension that dropped it 1.8 " and a set of 15" wheels (yeah, 15's not big ugly *** 17's) I also have other performance mods including a full exhaust and it is tamed down with a greddy evo muffle and a 24" resonator. I must agree with most of you and say that the f*c*ing ricers are annoying. bodykits, eurotails, ect.... GAY GAY GAY. i really hate when i see a mustang or camaro riced out. oh well. dont hate unless you know what your hatin. THe reson they sound like that is because of the lack of displacement. the reson the real import tuners (not the ricers) use these noisy mufflers is because they are straight through. It actually does help reduce backpressure, but the sideefect is lots of noise. My reason for posting so much is because i dont think people understand. oh well though, i hope i diditn offend anyone.

screw fart cans, its all about bassani and borla. well, now i have a flowmaster 40 series on my truck, soon to have the new headman headers for it. its sounds goo anyway, a lot better than those ricers, but that is my taste.
