I hate pioneers!!

wow.....we just started having a problem with our Pioneer as well......can only get 1 side of the rcas to "pound the sub".The amp is wired stereo due to not being 2 ohm stable and as I watch the subs(2 12s),1 hits a lot harder than the other.We have replaced the sub 2xs and still have the problem.We have also swapped out amps and the problem still persists.Could this be the "pico?" fuse or something else all together.

Is there a static hiss coming from the sub? If not then I would not think it’s a pico fuse related.

no static....just appears to be getting about 60% power....must be something else.****,.

the only problem i have with pioneer these days are cosmetically they went to **** they went from this in 06

to this in 2011

and this oel dolphin screen hasn't changed in years

I really wish Pioneer would go back to those type of displays, and put in a REAL 7 band EQ or crossovers. Me too , unfortunatly i sold my 9855 to dave so i could replace the engine in my car. So i am stuck with the pioneer until i get another high end alpine.

The only drawback to the Alpine I have (CDA-117) is that it's slow going through the Ipod and USB lists... but boy does it make the high pitchy sounding Pioneer look like a bottom feeder... and like D77543020 said... Cripes look at their new cosmetics.... :fullbodyheebyjeebies:

Lulz reliability of JVC. My Eclipse outlasted any of my HU's by about 6 years.

I've seen a lot of old JVC decks that are still going. I'm running a Kenwood HD545U right now. Solid deck with a 24-bit DAC and fast USB.

I like the sound of the Alpine's but I'm not a fan of all those buttons on the left side...

I think the same thing happened to me when I let some so called professionals install some screens in my headrest? It will be uninstalled when I get another Alpine. I still have my pxa-h100, but would buy it all over again because IMO Alpine doesn't have any competition when it comes to headunits. Eclipse was competition but they are dead to me since they stopped making car audio.

Eclipse still makes audio gear. They stopped supplying North America. The market here is after the flashy garbage not quality.

For reals , my 9855 was loaded. 7 band graphic/parametric EQ , 3 way active crossover with 0/6/12/18/24DB slopes , 6 channel time alignment , ALL KINDS OF STUFF , and it was all built in.

That was their better deck that year. Like the 9815, and 9835 were for their year. All pretty much the same deck as well, just different displays. I have owned them all lol

Like I said, They're Dead. If I don't see it on Ebay and got to search overseas just to get one, it's not worth it!
