not really trouble for me though. that deck is a POS anyhow. Just temporary until i can get another 9855 or one with similar features and quality.
i just got rid of my alpine because if u turned it up past 25/35 it sounded horrible...put a pioneer on it sounds amazingIts the only brand i will buy new , besides some of the really high end eclipses. I have been treated well by alpines and IMO doing plenty of a/b/c/d swaps i have found alpines to have the best sound out of any brand. sony, jvc, kenwood (standard or excelon),pioneer , none of them have the clarity and cleanliness of an alpine IMHO.
You should have set your gains accordingly, and if you weren't using an amp, duh. It's going to sound bad past that point. Pioneers have a higher limit on them. They go up to 62. That doesn't mean they're going to play louder, it just means you have more control over the volume.i just got rid of my alpine because if u turned it up past 25/35 it sounded horrible...put a pioneer on it sounds amazing
I got the 4202 ...it was brand new and came with the cradel....once you set the tilt you don't really have to worry with it anymore and less buttons to clutter the remote...but that is neat featureDid you get a 4202 or the 4187? I've got both sitting in my Jeep for my 9855. Funny thing is, I don't use either of them. I have steering wheel controls //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif The 4187 is a b*tch to find, but it does work to control the angle of the face. The 4202 drops this feature but they're a dime a dozen, seeing they're still the current remote Alpine uses.
Yeah, I guess the buttons do clutter up the remote. I don't really use either of my remotes for it too often though. About the only time I use it is if I'm taking a nap in my Jeep between classes and I've got the seat reclined. That makes it more difficult for me to reach the steering wheel to use the steering wheel controls.I got the 4202 ...it was brand new and came with the cradel....once you set the tilt you don't really have to worry with it anymore and less buttons to clutter the remote...but that is neat feature
