I hate pioneers!!

I plan on switching to Kenwood or Alpine when I get the money. All my HU's have been Pioneer thus far, they're just so darn sexy looking //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Nice. That should sound pretty nice. Also, for comparable HUs to the 9855, the 9853, 9835, and 9833 are all similar. The 9853 and 9833 don't have the BioLite display, but they do have Bass Engine Pro which gives you all the tuning features. The 35 and 33 have the V-Drive hybrid amplifier built in. It's like 28 watts RMS and 60 peak. The 53 and maybe the 33 only have 2.5V preouts and the 35 and 55 have 4V preouts. The 35 and 55 also have an external DC/DC converter to help with SQ.

Its the only brand i will buy new , besides some of the really high end eclipses. I have been treated well by alpines and IMO doing plenty of a/b/c/d swaps i have found alpines to have the best sound out of any brand. sony, jvc, kenwood (standard or excelon),pioneer , none of them have the clarity and cleanliness of an alpine IMHO.
i just got rid of my alpine because if u turned it up past 25/35 it sounded horrible...put a pioneer on it sounds amazing

You should have set your gains accordingly, and if you weren't using an amp, duh. It's going to sound bad past that point. Pioneers have a higher limit on them. They go up to 62. That doesn't mean they're going to play louder, it just means you have more control over the volume.

Did you get a 4202 or the 4187? I've got both sitting in my Jeep for my 9855. Funny thing is, I don't use either of them. I have steering wheel controls //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif The 4187 is a b*tch to find, but it does work to control the angle of the face. The 4202 drops this feature but they're a dime a dozen, seeing they're still the current remote Alpine uses.
I got the 4202 ...it was brand new and came with the cradel....once you set the tilt you don't really have to worry with it anymore and less buttons to clutter the remote...but that is neat feature

Yeah, I guess the buttons do clutter up the remote. I don't really use either of my remotes for it too often though. About the only time I use it is if I'm taking a nap in my Jeep between classes and I've got the seat reclined. That makes it more difficult for me to reach the steering wheel to use the steering wheel controls.

But I would not be against you letting me borrow your stang for a weekend to make up for it LOL.. I will treat her good.. Cause u owe me big time….. After I get done dealing with bhsaudio I am coming to collect. Ha Ha

Nonetheless I love pioneer HU (well at least there high-end models) they truly are the sexiest HU’s out.
