I hate pioneers!!

Man i was just outside fiddling around with a few amps , seeing which one i like better on my doors and i was hot-plugging my RCA's. I forgot i had a pioneer in the dash , now i gots mad noise. Had to ground the RCA's at the deck to get it to stop. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif FUCK YOU PIONEER AND SHOVE YOU PICO FUSE IN YOUR BUTT!!!

Yeah they seem to be great head units just need a little refining. I had one that I loved and one day I accidentally grounded the REM wire while it was on and after that I had a never ending stream of noise problems...even after grounding the rca's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I never really like any of them except for the very expensive premier decks , this is all i have right now (sold my 9855 to rebuild my engine) , and i was just learning to like this deck and it spits in my face like that. FU Pioneer!

Yeah after my pioneer started giving me problems I bought an Alpine 9886 and love it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

A little solder will permanently fix that. I know there's a couple of walkthroughs out there somewhere regarding how to do that. You could also just ground the RCAs. I figure if I ever blow the pico fuse in mine, I'm going to go the solder route for a more "permanent" fix.

Doesn't fix all brah, didn't fix mine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Its the only brand i will buy new , besides some of the really high end eclipses. I have been treated well by alpines and IMO doing plenty of a/b/c/d swaps i have found alpines to have the best sound out of any brand. sony, jvc, kenwood (standard or excelon),pioneer , none of them have the clarity and cleanliness of an alpine IMHO.

How much extra did the volume control cost? And the power switch? Did you buy the FM module?

Alpine always seemed to be one of those brands that will nickel and dime you to death.

Also, they're among the ugliest, IMO. That's obviously subjective, though.

Pico issue is all user error. Cant really say fuck you Pioneer. It was your own fault.
Combination of bad engineering with user error... They shouldn't be using any kind of fuse on the RCAs... they should be using some sort of current limiting instead, which could even be as simple as an appropriately sized resistor.

I say its a design error , LOL. With any of the above mentioned decks , i can hot-plug all day and never damage the unit. So i stand by my statement.

What exactly is the point of putting a non-replaceable fuse on the RCA grounds anyhow? Just seems stupid.
