Surely, you aren't this stupid.

A coaxial driver arrangement is as close to point source as you can get without actually being a true point source in the sense of a full range driver. You have a much better shot at achieving coherency with a coaxial than you do with drivers separated at a given distance (usually farther apart than the crossover frequency will allow before phase issues are experienced).

I guess Theil, Morel, Seas, Tannoy, and countless other companies were way off with their approach.
