After 5 years and only 45,000 miles I got a little tired of my Mustang. I never had any issues with it and she got me where I needed to be, but getting in and out of a low car, the coming need for a new hood as the rock chips had murdered it, and my feeling trapped in the city after moving to a desk job ended up forcing me to sell my beloved Bullitt Mustang.

Oh the memories.......

This is my first car. It was awesome.

So that brings me to my new vehicle. I missed the adventures I'd go on with my Scout and was feeling trapped in the city. So I decided to buy a new 2008 Nissan Frontier 4x4.

This is a 6 speed manual with the Nismo package that adds: spray-in bed liner, rear electronic locking differential, a slightly stiffer suspension with Bilstein shocks, ABLS (anti-lock braking limited slip), and it came with a First aid kit! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

It makes 261hp and 281ft/lbs so it's not too bad for a midsize pickup. At a few bucks over 4,000lbs it's not that fast either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif but I had done my "fast" things in the Mustang and I'm sure I'll have another quick car someday.

Thats a a nice truck i got a ride in one of those this weekend. Wasnt an 08 but it was very comfy.

A scout, a bullitt stang, 2 vehicles with a lot of character. Gotta be hard going from that to a Frontier. You'll have fun out in the desert with the Frontier though.

Nice, looks like you have pretty good taste in vehicles. Those Scouts are pretty cool and the Mustang is certainly sweet. Very glad to hear ya got a 6 speed in the frontier and not the lame auto.

Here's a picture of the 1970 Scout with the top off.

...and my 1978 Jeep J-10 Pickup with the now rare AMC 401 engine in it.

If I could afford insurance on 2 cars and had room, I would have kept the Bullitt and gone with another old "weekend" off-road vehicle..... but alas, it's not in the cards for me right now.
