I got a citation

I got a speeding citation, and its going to cost me $186.53 and i dont plan on paying it..

The cop said i have 10 days to respond to it, plead guilty or not guilty or whatever, if i dont do that im aware ill have a warrent out but do they actually come looking for you?

Just wondering if cops are going to actually come bust down my door for soethign like this, if not then **** it...

no they actually will not come busting down your door for a traffic warrant....but if u do get pulled over again the warrant will show up and u do not pass go and do not collect 200 dollars....you'll prolly end up spending a night in jail....

well in most states, once the bench warrant is issued many things can set in motion. 1 is the first time you get pulled over, you go to jail and the car gets impounded. 2 is if you dont respond to their notices to pay in some states they can garnish your wages. meaning take that shit straight out yo check like taxes. or if yerl ucky then nothing happens.

no, they won't come bust in your door for that...(unless they found a bunch of coke in your ride you're not telling us about...then, yes they will come to your door).....

If you get pulled over, you will get taken to jail for an outstanding warrant. I'm no lawyer, but I've been in my fare share of trouble. 2 options....1. is to pay the ticket and be over with, or 2. go to court and state your case....the worst they can do is give you the same fine you already have, and plus, if the arresting officer doesn't show up to court, which happens all the time, happened for me once...then the case is dismissed and you don't have to pay anything.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I actually just talked to a buddy whos in a lot of trouble all the time and knows about this stuff, and this definatly doesnt happen here.

What i was told was, if i dont pay it.. they dont come looking for me but if i do get pulled over for anything itll show, and ill get arrested and brought back to the cop shop, on a return and release type deal, ill just have to sign on guility or not gulity, then i get released... thats just the first time though, i forget what he said after that...

Well ****.. i cant decide... it seems so easy to just forget about it and try and be good and just ignore it... and pretend like it will go away, and not pay $190 that i definatly dont have right now..

Im still trying to figure out how they got me for $190 for a speeding ticket...

And normally you cannot get out of jail unless you pay for everything you owe first. There won't be a second chance to go to court on the ticket as the original failure to go to court will result in judgement being rendered against you.

Never heard of that happening but in this day and age and law enforcement agencies across the nation getting fed up with unpaid tickets it wouldn't surprise me
or if yer lucky then nothing happens.
This is extremely unlikely....

On top of having the original ticket judged against you if you allow it to go long enough without satisfying it most states will suspend your driver's license. THEN if you get caught driving after that not only will you have to deal with the original ticket but you'll also have one for driving under suspension.

Like others, my best suggestion would be to cough up the 186 clams and be done with it.

How fast were you clocked in how fast of a zone?

you WILL pay sooner or later...do you want to pay $190 now...or wait, go to jail and pay a lot more in extra fines/court cost ect..its a no brainer idiot. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
