i fuckking hate oklahoma!

I love this state. We have had so many droughts in the last 10 years. While working as a state biologist and traveling all around the state I have seen thousands of fires started by cigarettes thrown out on the roadside. I've seen a lot of peoples homes, cars, trucks etc.. burned up because someone who smokes thinks he has more rights than the rest of us. Doesn't matter if he didn't know, that won't un-burn anything. Your friend needs to start making better choices.

he flicked the cigarette on the shoulder of road and stepped on it as the cop told him to get rid of the cgarette and get out

yeah man he put us in seperate cars and was asking all kinds of questions, he breathalyzed me, searched my truck, didnt even ask.
They've had me on the side of the road with EVERYTHING taken out of the car (including spare tire) and when they didn't find shit no apology, no sorry for the inconvenience. They said you can go now and left me to pick up all my crap! I'm a 41 year old white guy with 4 kids that drives a minivan half the time! I'm the furthest thing from a drug runner you could get. Lol!

Is it legal in OK for them to just search your car for the heck of it? In sd they can't do that. They have to ask and if u say no and they don't have reasonable cause like smelling something or seeing something that can lead them to think there's something in ur car they can't just go through it..... Or if ur on PB and ur driving/own the car I think they can... But otherwise I don't think they can??? Idk correct me if I'm wrong, they asked to search my car the other day after they had gone around my car with the drug dogs and they didn't alert at all and I said no and they just said ok, and let me go. Lol

I'm not sure what they can and cannot do but when I'm on the side of the road at 11 pm coming home from working 15 hours and there's no one around but me and the officer. I imagine they can do pretty much whatever they want. I've learned a long time ago not to say a cop can't do that. Because when it boils down to it a cop can do whatever they want.

my buddy didnt know how strict they have become on littering, and hes in voilation of parole being in OK even though its right on the border. Long story short went to a gas station to get smokes and get pulled over on the way back (wasnt speeding or anything) and the cop tells him to get rid of the cig and get out so he flicks it and gets a littering ticket.
So let me get this straight...He wasn't supposed to be in Oklahoma...but he is in need of his smokes, so he knowingly violates his parole for being in Oklahoma (my guess crossing state lines without notifying his parole officer), and you are blaming the Oklahoma statutes for his negligence. Typical american now a days...feeling that the world owes you, that false feeling of entitlement.
