My brother and friend both drive F bodies, a flat black camaro w/350 and red ***** am w/305, nice looking cars but ride like **** & the 305 is a turd of a V8, 350 not much better. My big body boss hoss will stomp both of them, but i have a huge motor.

Its strictly gonna be a demo car, not a racing car. But i love the way firebirds look.

besides, its better than the other firebird i was gonna get with the v6 2.8

The 2.8 isnt worth a ****, some of them got buick 3.8s when they ran out of shitrolet 2.8s, and thats a really good engine.

I had a 91 camaro rs convertible with a 305 auto and had very few problems with the engine. The transmission went once at about 110000 miles and that was it.

305's are awful. IIRC, when I took the one apart I owned (berlinetta), it didn't even have dedicated oil return holes in the heads... the oil just passed through the pushrod holes. The 350 is a much better design, has tons more aftermarket parts available, and just generally has a lot more potential. Id ditch the 305 asap.

the 305 tpi's werent bad..305 tbi's were turds. tbi350's didnt have that much more hp but better torque.And i think the 3.8's were put in the maro body style were they first started putting the lt1's in.
