For those who know me, it's most likely because you've seen my thread about the CD7200 where I'm immensely distressed and pulling my hair out over the unit. Well, to put all your hearts at ease (as if they weren't already //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif),

I BOUGHT IT FINALLY!

The CD7200mkII is on it's way to my home as we speak. Should have it by the end of the week. Just wanted to let all of you know that next weekend (if it's here by then) I'll be writing a full review on the unit since I know others have been concerned with my concerns that still go unanswered.

So in summation, be happy for me lol, I finally made up my **** mind //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

EDIT: And don't be sad tcguy, if the CD7200 is a flop, I'll be selling it and picking up the acclaimed 880PRS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Not as big as you made it out to be //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. You ARE going to be running active right?

Yea right now I'm stuck with only a PDX2.150 on the front passively. But I'd say by May I'll have a 4.150 running an active front stage.

I can't wait to run active, the amount of tweaking possible is incredible with these high-end units. I don't even know how long it'll take me to figure out how to use the PEQ effectively. I'm gonna have to buy a microphone so I can take measurements using the HU and upload them to E-iServ. Gahdam that's so cool lol.

I'm excited now, I can hardly wait til it gets here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The peq is the only benefit of the cd7100/7200 over the pio, but the 16 band the pio has makes up for it. Pioneer tweaking > cd7100/200 tweaking //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

PEQ is muchhhhh better IMO because of the flexibility, its not like you can overlap bands in a geq anyways.

Plus in the eclipse you can have teh bands that are right next to each other selected with whatever q factor you want to use.

In essence you can. I think you know what I'm talking about, but to clarify, for example:

with P-EQ you can't touch 100hz & 125hz no matter what the bandwidth.

G-EQ you can

Though the fixed Q isn't necessarily nice, I just prefer g-eq. I switch back and forth occassionally, but usually wind up going back to G-EQ.
