I feel like a idiot.

Yea well i think im going to the wrong places, no was also able to tell me how to get the **** lows outta the speakers, but after some reading on here and tinkering i finally figured it out.

Well i turned it on and im going do some tinkering with the Db boost and Q factor.

Yes, in this case Bass boost = parametric EQ = dB boost. So turning it off would eliminate any EQ.

Most likely the reason they told you to turn off the EQ is because you can very easlly get your amp to clip using the bass boost. Playing a clipped signal for too long can melt your subs.

Your best best is to set your gains properly. This will give you a reference point to know when your subs are approx clipping. If you insist on going beyond this point, by using the bass boost for example, at least you will know when you are in the "danger zone".
