i want to order some subs anyday now, but i just CANT pick out which ones! there are so many good choices and i really haven't gotten many opinions on what to do. i have $300 to work with for two 12" subs. i'm looking for a sub that hits HARD but sounds good doing it.... sql i guess. i'm most likely going sealed because i dont have much room in my trunk to begin with. i've looked at so many different subs and i've done quite a bit of research, but all the subs i'm looking at all get good reviews, it's so hard to narrow it down. here's the list of subs i've been considering lately.

they're all 12" subs

audioque sd2.5

incriminator 187

kicker cvx

mach 5 maw

memphis pr's

phoenix gold rsd

of course alpine type r

like i said, i've done quite a bit of research on all of these subs and they have all gotten good reviews. it's just so hard to pick out which subs to get! if anyone has any other suggestions please tell me. thanks again guys.

CVX's are the shiat. I have a 15" CVX in my wifes Ford Focus, and it hits clean and hard. She also has a sealed box and the bass is nice and tight, including the response. That was the best $140 I could have spent on a sub for her.

First off, what kind of truck do you have? If you have a single cab, mounting depth is a huge factor and probably rules out a few subs on the list (Type R at least, those things are pretty deep). And if you wanna go Memphis, I'd go with the MClass subs instead. Sound really nice and can get decently loud off fairly low power. $89 apiece over at woofers etc.

And if you want to add another option to the list, I'll sell you my Custom-built 12" TC9 and my Orion XTR Pro 1000 amp for $500 shipped.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

CRAP! i meant to type trunk, not truck. i dont have a truck. i drive a 94 honda accord ex. sorry bout that.

I'd narrow it down to these:
audioque sd2.5

kicker cvx

mach 5 maw

memphis mclass

phoenix gold rsd

and of course my offer
lol and of course your offer. that's a good offer and all, but i dont have $500 at the moment and plus i wanted a dual 12" setup instead of a single. but what about the 187's? no love for them....

Just haven't heard much about them or any other of IAs's subs. Really haven't heard a ton about the sd2.5s either, but the stuff I've seen on other Audioque subs has been good.

Heard great things about the CVX, MAW, and RSd. And my first setup was a pair of MClass 12s in a small sealed box off of 500w. I know first hand how nice those things are. Actually might buy 4 MClass 10s if I decide to sell my TC9. My local shop has the older model Mclass subs left and is selling them for like $65 apiece. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Here's my choices, in order:

1. Mach 5 Maw

2. PG RSd (these can handle lots of power... ~1000 clean Wrms each)

3. Memphis M

What about the Rainbow Hammer... Does anyone know if two 12's could be had for $300?

you are doing the right thing, research, you will eventually have good bass because you are doing your research, you wont regret your decision because your decision is based on,

good research. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
