Ok, so there's a steroid scandal in the MLB. This dates back quite a few years, but whatever. I'm not defending the douchebags that are roided- Bonds, Sheff, Giambi, etc. They're all a bunch of assholes who should be banned from the sport.

But, what really gets me is what's going on with Shawne Merriman. He tests positive for STEROIDS, not a substance, but actual steroids. He gets a 4 game suspension. He comes out, and says that someone laced his shit with steroids, which everyone knows is horseshit. He appeals, and plays against Denver. I'm watching Sportscenter/NFL Countdown, and they are talking about how he is the greatest thing ever...no one has a problem with the fact that he's juicing?

I actually liked Merriman before this whole thing...he looks like he's going to be a great standout player in the NFL, an icon- but now I think he's a piece of shit. But apparently it's OK to juice, as long as you don't play baseball.

i honestly don't care about it anymore. imo they are all playing on a level playing field cause i have no doubt about 80% of the prominent sports leagues are on steroids. it still takes skill. i cannot go take steroids and then go and hit 40 homeruns.

look at what happened to romanowski.

steroids are such an advantage. quicker stronger bleh blahh but the players confidence levels soar and we all know sports boils down to the mental (see ARod)

like it matters anyways.. all the chicken we eat and milk we drink come from steroid injected animals so its kind of like were all secondhand users.

i dont think merriman did it intentionally. he probably took something unaware of what was in it. so now he is accepting his punishment and will be more careful.

He took them, did his time, lost money! He isnt gonna appoligize for something he thinks was laced rather it was or not. Not saying he didnt take them, but he did his time so to speak. He came back and still is a monster. Now if he gets caught doing it again, then I am sure it will be a lot more heavier of a fine and then he would just be about the biggest retard on earth for getting caught again. I dont think he is that stupid.
