First off, let me introduce myself, I live in Harbor City, a tough suburb of L.A., found this forum through google.
I have a Ford TBird, picked it up for cheap, runs like a pro still, so i'm looking to give it a little extra bump in it's last days on the road. Got about $300 to put into it, wondering what the best combo would be to hook it up with. I bump a lot of hip hop. It's got the stock premium sound right now, which, sadly, was blown out before I got it. I checked around some sites, I don't know the first detail about systems, but my can basically only house little dinky azz 6 x 8 inchers (unless i want to throw them in the trunk?? probably not?), i'm also lookin' to get a Subwoofer... So basically, i want some quality 6 x 8" speakers and a sub for $300, give or take $50. I'm also gonna buy a new in-dash CD player because my current one can't even read CD's when you put them in.
Can someone please help me with my dilemma? Is it plausible to get a system that's gonna knock for $300? Also, if anyone has any other combinations to suggest, i'm open to anything.
