I dont know about subs!!!

Well much anyway... Im wondering what subs would be best for me? I have a 97 ford taurus and im thinking Alpine type R's or RE audio SX's, and what would be best to get, 2 12's, 1 15, or 2 15's (in type R or SX). obviously i dont have a WHOLE lot of money to spend.... im basically looking for something thats loud. it doesnt have to have to hit crazy frequencies or anything but i dont want shitty quality subs either... Ive seen videos of single SX 15's that seem loud. and a single sub is gonna be cheaper then 2.... so yeah. also if I make my own box how do you tune them (not sealed)??? and what amp would be good with either ones... Where would you recomend buying them from? (ebays cheap but i hear that ebay stuff is shity... somehow???) wtf do i know? first thing what is your budget? so looks like you need ever thing. subs, amps wiring, and box correct? how about install you going to do it? and if your looking for some stuff on the cheap ebay is not a bad place. you can get the type Rs pretty cheap on there as well as a hifonics amp to power it.

throw out a rough budget and i am pretty sure me or someone will be able to help you out. Include what you want bought with the budget you post. (ex. cd player, subwoofer, amp, etc.)

well i have about $900 but i would like to save some for speakers (and other stuff). and yes i need everything. to install it i would have my friends brother or someone else i know help me. and yeah i know stuff is cheap on ebay i just didnt know if it was reliable or a good place to buy from. - and i already have a sony cd deck that my brother had in it, its like 52x4. so all i need is sub(s), amp, box, and wires. (i think)

would the 2 type r 12's be as loud as the RE sx 15, the sx has rms of 1000, and the type r's only have 500. (yeah 500 and 500 is 1000) ..??? or how about 2 12" sx's even tho they cost more... i cant find the max if that matters...

ok what would be louder, right now im really thinking of 2 type r 12's, or a single RE audio SX 15.(though i also like apline type x's) i think the recommeded box size for SX is 4 cubic feet and i could fit that box in my trunk. it wastes alot of space but if i have to i will.... basically, 2 type r's are the same price as a SX, and they have the same rms wattage. so? do you know anything that would make me pick one or the other???

the two type R 12" can go in 1.5 ported so for the same size enclosure as the SX you could do 2 12" type R ported.

How about AQ SDC2.5 10" 2 for $129 each so $260 on subs and an AQ1200 for 250 shipped.

they fit in 1.5 ported so 3 cubes for box and 1200 watts around $500.

If all you want is louder than AQ 1200 on Kicker L7 or type R 15" ported.
