I can't win

I have been trying to get my system to work for like 3 weeks now. I have a kx 800.2 amplifier power two Kicker cvr's... The are rated to 400 watts rms, I originally had 4ohm CVr's, but since bought the 2 ohm version. Now I wired them to their own channel. I can't describe how I wired them, but i'll try. I connected the negative of one voice coil to the positive of the other on the same sub and the wired the positive to the positive side of the channel adn teh negative to the negative side of the channel. I did this with both subs and I am still getting the smell of voice coil burning. My gain never goes over 50 percent, anyone know what the problem is? If you need more clarification please ask! Thanks alot...

^^this is how you wired them

smelling a little coil never killed nobody...just wait alittle bit for them to work in..it will eventually go away..

impedence wise...you have them hooked up to have there own sub per channel..that amp puts out 200x2@4ohm and 400x2@2 ohm....800x1@4 ohm bridged..you have them hooked up to only recieve 200 per sub

hook your 4 ohm ones back up and wire them like this and bridge them

I did the amp would go into protection every time. Besides every person on here and at the car audio place said it was because I have to have the 2 ohm subs...

If they are 2 ohms and I wired them like I said above what did I do wrong? How should I wire them to each channel?

I have tried everything. I bought the 2 ohm subs like I was told and wired them in series, parallel. Bridged them in both, ran them in stereo in both. I don't know what else to do. I bridged the 4 ohm subs and the amp went into protection, I wired the 2 ohm subs parallel and the voice coils made that smell. WTF am I doing wrong? Does kicker not make their 2 channel amps to line up with their 2 ohm or 4 ohm subs?

Would this work and/or solve my problems?

if you have two DVC 2's, you have a final load of either .5 of an ohm, 2 ohm or 8 ohm...if it's wired to a 1/2 ohm, there's your problem...you should have gotten two DVC 4's for a 4 ohm mono load..

I have both at my house because you guys told me I would need DVC 2 ohm Subs. So now I have 2 4 ohm CVR's and 2 2ohm CVR's... I originally had only 2 4ohm CVR's but a few members here told me to get the 2 ohm CVR's. This is really aggravating. I have wired it everyway possible.

Yeah, I have 2 dual VC 4 ohms and 2 DVC 2 ohms. Why is this being such a problem? Not even the **** car audio places here can do it... Does kicker not make amps to work with their subs or something? I am sure it is something I am doing wrong I just don't know what!

here are the exact specs on the amp:

I would double check wiring...for some reason, it's going into protect...and yes, all the amps go with our subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ( as well as others)

I brought it to a car audio shop today. They failed as well... I am ready to just sell all four subs and the amp and go with JL or even Adire... User error or not 3 shops 4 audio websites and a friend who has 5 subs he installed himself in his car and we still can't firgure this out...
