it doesnt matter what i do, evert time i hookup my sub in series it has no bass. i mean it does.. but u can barely hear it. ive tried it while bridged, ive tried it on just one channel, then i tried the other channel. nothing. in paralell, @2ohms, it pounds.. but my amp cant handle that load. so i have to run it in series until i get a new amp. anyonw have any idea why this isnt working? i got + going to one voicecoil, - going to the other voice coil, the - to + on the remaining 2 terminals on each side. that IS How u wire it in series but theres NO power at all. its very flat bass

yes i know this. ive had other subs on this amp, wired in series, that pounded. as a matter of fact it was a POS pyle 12" and it slammed. my mach5 MAW12, wired in series, on the same amp, has no power at all. it sounds like it does when u have the trunk open, all the free air makes the bass sound very flat. thats how it sounds in my car.. its like reversed

i did i ordered a 400msx (name?) and a hifonics 500watt 1channel amp (400wx1@2ohms) but im not sure if my credit card went thru. i highly doubt it did

You really don't understand whats happening here huh? The new sub requires more power to get loud, and your only showing the amp an 8 ohm load, that being the case, you will NOT get the sound you want out of that combination under any circumstance. Just wait for the new amp.

its only a 350wrms sub tho. i got this amp from a friend of mine and he pushed a 10" L7 with it, and it pounded. i also used this amp on other subs and they wanged. but i guess i see what your saying.. the power, and sound, i want out of this sub comes from 2ohms.. after hearing what it could do.. im just so anxious to get it that way for good. i only got to listen to its potential for maybe 30 minutes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

no. thats just the wrong way to think.

what is happening is that sub, even though its rated 350w wants more power. more like at least 350w. they prolly UNDERRATED the thing so it does not blow up when you do give it 350w.

when you show the amp a 8ohm load. and its putting out 200w to the PAIR of subs. you would imagine that each one is getting ~100w. nowhere near the rated wattage is it?

basically. you need more current through the voicecoil to move the softparts. or in lamens terms.

a more powerful amp.

dont try to nuke this. its simple logical thinking.

well i ordered the hifonics cuz it looked perfect for my sub. and i ordered the 400MSX after u told me about it, cuz well.. its a monoblock for 50 bucks. why the hell not? hehe
