The alpine type r (2004) model has been discontinued. I order 2 swr-1021d's thursday of last week, I was told they were in stock. I got an email from etronics telling me my order has been delayed. so I call em' no answer. Try again 2 hours later...discontinued...none in stock. Etronics sucks...but I finally found some @ discount ave.net. They will ship out today, hopefully. I still can't believe they are already discontinued, after just a year? I no they come out with the 05 model but they should at least carry em' out till the end of the summer.

Get used to it...the same thing happened with Elemental Designs' model line last year, they probably should have continued 'em.

I wonder why they do that? It seems to me they would sell them till no one buys them...cause if you think about it they could be losing money they could be taking in.

The 04 line was the same as the 03 and i belive 02 models, nothing changed.

they just up dated the model so they stopped making/stocking the old ones
