I broke myself

just readin that brings chills man. hope u feelin better, how did u break it that bad?

u dont usu hear ppl breaking their leg playing bball, usu is ankle/knee.

OH MAN, that is a crazyass break. Absolutely sucks, and you gotta like change your life b/c of it.

Maybe ask your mom to drive your car and bump it every once in a while.

Don't worry you'll get better before you know it.

Well it could be a lot worse, you could have lost your hearing lol, now that would be death to me! Screw letting his mom drive him around and occasionally bump, just be the first person to put a alternator running off your wheels, connecting to a 12 battery, then hook up your sound system where you like it! Hu beetween your legs, speakers on your handles, tweeters farther up, subwoofer in front of your feet. Might be hard to push around, or fit in any car, but you'll set a new record for loudest audio on a wheelchair! LOL. Actually there is probably someone out there who has already set, been defeated, and set the record again already for loudest wheelchair audio.

BTW 26"....have fun trying to look sideways.......

PS nswartley, at first I thought you said he should go see his orthodontist. Im like WTF is an orthodontist going to do for his ankle? lol

I feel ya, I haven't had that serious of an injury, but one times I was playin ball and jumped up to take a shot and some kid ran right under my legs, my foot landed on his foot and my ankle rolled. I could barely walk for almost 2 weeks, it hurt like hell. That was probably a year ago, my ankle has never recovered, I've rolled my ankle over 4 more times since that day, not as bad as the first, but it's like my ankle is very weak now, and the slightest awkward movement and it just gives out. The dr's said I had a severe sprain, but I think it is something more, I was thinking about checking into something that will support my ankle when I play ball, anybody here used an ankle brace before?

well, the fibula isnt the major weight supporting bone, it is the tibia. my friend got kicked in the back of the calf during a soccer match and broke his fibula as well. he didnt break it vertically nor did his ankle get all messed up. he was on crutches for a week and then in a boot for about 2 weeks. that sucks man. its going to get pretty old just sitting and laying. not driving. not walking or running. when this gets over you will never want to watch t.v. again. but try and have some fun. like crawl out the chair and pretend like you tiped it over and begin screaming in pain. you'll make a few people panic. get well soon.

Wow, I didn't quite expect to get the response that I got on this thread. Thanks to all you guys for you concern.

So now its Tuesday, and 9 days after this happened. I've had my surgery to get the plate and two rods put in my leg. But I have only missed two days of school (my econ teacher is shocked that I come to school at all). But now I roll around campus on that wheel chair. Its a little difficult but I'm dealing with the thing. The worst part of all of this, is that I can't workout, I can't play ball, I can't drive and listen to my system for a another week (I hope). And I take showers, sitting down, with a bag over my leg. Because, as all of you who have broke something before, you know you can't get that cast wet! Oh, and this is my 3rd break I've ever had, just as FYI. The other two were, my left thumb from football, and my right arm (clean break, fraction and chipped it all at once) from football.

Thanks again for all the messages.

i feel ya! i hate that!

btw, ive broken my right arm five times, broken two toes, and one finger, but only the arm made me take showers with the bag...but i prefer baths in that situation //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
