I will def. look into that for sure.mods? i am going to have to look at my financial situation first with school and the car now(had to finance 4k) and see what from there. I probably will not mod till feb-march time and really go nuts during summer time on it. No more buying car audio on credit for me.

Thanks, i tihnk the official on that one is 26 mpg hwy which sure even beats the truck i was driving at 18 hwy
EPA rating is 24, but most people see 22HWY on average. Still good considering the available power. Just wasn't good enough for my daily 35 mile commute to work. So I picked up an econobox.

Where the hell did you get that from? They don't get 30 hwy. More like 22. My LS1 equipped GTO got 21Hwy and 17 local.
I've gotten 26mpg on the highway in an '02 T/A LS1 with the Automatic, and that was with jaunts up past 100 multiple times on a road trip back from Mississippi.

They get that kind of mileage, the double overdrive in 6th is a big bonus.

Plus IIRC, the GTO is heavy.

was your gto a 6sp?

the 6sp cars really do get close to 30, because of the double overdrive. And this really isnt something you can argue because ive clocked my milage many times

why isnt eugenics in here dissing the WS6 yet? Im suprised lol...

good choice over the beamer man, im a big fan of the WS6, my friend has a '94 formula which i love. Ive never seen a double din in any firebird/***** am though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

As I stated in a previous post, from the window sticker at a local Chevrolet dealership. I remember it showing 17/30. Which certainly doesn't make sense... because from what everyone that owns one (yourself included) has said and info I can find on the net, they should be getting around 17/25.

However, there are reviews like this that still make me wonder (although it's a Z28):

Well, here it is nearly 4 years since I took delivery of my Canadian made '02 Z28, and still performs like the Vette, the Porsche 911 (0-60MPH), the A4, and can outrun any Mercedes BMW and the new Charger RTS. I use synthetic oil (Mobil One 10W- 30),rotate the tires faithfully, maintain about 5 psi above Chevy's recommended 30 psi, change the air filter every 6 months, just flushed the cooling system, brake system and transmission with 18,000 miles on the vehicle. And for all that nit-pickey extra maintenence, I get a whopping 33 MPG @ 70 MPH w/cruise control set. Now, lets see what GM has to offer with the new upgrade Camero next year. So far I like what I hear from rumour central.
