Im soo pissed. I was WOT last night in my DOdge intrepid 95 3.5L ES and I made it up to about 90 when the timing belt broke and slammed all the valves against the pistons. IM SOOOO FREEKIN mad because I just did the Big 3 lol. And Now I I can't listen to my TCAB setup.

So time for a new car...Which one do ya pick?

no thats what happens when a timing belt breaks in a fwd vehicle. the cams freespin as does the crank causeing them to come into nasty contact with each other.

Well....I can attest that European cars such as Toyotas and Hondas last a liltte bit longer but thats not to say they don't have problems. My dad has a Honda Civic hatch back 1988 with 207K that ran like an ox but the outside of the car was shit...And the Alt, starter had to be replaced. The Ac fan motor also crapped out. My car had nothing wrong it @ 166k...Cept I put a ****** in it 2 K miles ago.

****! It shouldn't have gone that quick. Was it an OEM belt or an aftermarket? 60k-90k is the usual suggested interval for a timing belt.

Ya ok dipshit. According to this then, I should buy a daewoo before I buy a Cadillac. This kind of blind statemnt is pure ignorance in this day and age.
American companies have won just as many awards on quality and value as imports in the past 10 years. In fact it is even hard to say whats import and what isn't anymore, because of cross-platforming and sharing technologies. The lines are so blurred that the badges are nearly the only clues. Every region has it's good cars and its bad cars and pros and cons to each one.
