hello. just turned 36. Had an interest in car audio since Alice N Chains had their first hit, Or to say back when RF and Kicker were never sold in the same shops (that i knew of) ....sad now cause i'm olds. What initially got me interested was when i became a freshman in HS, this older kid had a Jenson 8" bass tube and small amp....logic would assume that would have turned me away from audio entirely, but maybe it was the first time i heard some bass and i was accustomed to a cassette boombox or something. After some years of basic OEM and dis-interest in audio, i have risen and came to find car audio today is well...different. i don't know anyone today personally that even cares about aftermarket audio anymore. Premium systems sound pretty **** good and everything is made in China except all these offbrands that are built in people's garages....go figure.

Not that i know much about audio itself though, i find science equations boring, I have no motivations to build boxes nor care about making my liver bleed. that's why i join here so i can just ask what i might suit me and go from there or i may lurk, whichever. i obviously type too much texts.

its cool man ,leader ,huh i doubt it ,but you learn alot here.there is no such thing as garage built amps ,subs maybe very few .but most goog subs can be rebuilt now. the technology has come along way from the 90's .just watch and listen.

You have joined the wrong forum, everyone here is a troll, or can be. Try DIYMA or CACO.. which is a little better but not much. I would try DIYMA first, thats where all the older guys hang out it seems like..
