You know, originally I thought the chip that everybody knows about by now was a bunch of B.S. and said so on the forum. Then recently I got a magazine (advertisement) from a company called USDieselparts.com and I was quite surprised. They do have tuning modules and chips that can add over 100hp. They don't cost $8000 but they also don't require engine mods. Here's another site that offers them:

I don't think many of them are made in Italy, but I wouldn't be surprised if some were. Anyways, I don't know if he actually has something like this in his truck, however, I'm willing to admit that they actually do exist.

actually i've litterally never heard someone say they refused to run a jl amp because they are "inefficient", 1000 watts is 1000 watts, inefficient doesn't mean much more than "it heats up"....

what i ment is that you can jack the gains higher than they should be set with the jl and still not get a ton of clipping, or as much as some would

Odd - I've never blown any tweeters playing that song - but I know how to use my passive crossover modules, the processing built into my HU and/or amps, among other things.

And as far as the "it was worth it" remark I do not personally know wtf you're talking about but if I had to hazard a guess I would say it sounds suspiciously like you bragging about tattling on someone or a group of someones.
