this is probably true.
I dont pay rent, i live at home. Parents would only charge me rent if i wasn't going to school. I pay for school, car (well truck), car insurance, and everything else. School is expensive (tuition at a university, not cc) so that takes up most of the dough. I work full time and make very good money for an 18 year old so that is why i can pay 5k tuition. I plan on moving out in a year but not until I can pay for rent myself,
I go to school and work and my parents charge me a very nominal $200/mo.

i moved out when i was 18. moved to boston to go to shcool. since then have been on my own...
this year was the first time i rented out a unit in an apartment building... it's been 4 month's and i cant wait to GTFO!!!
i mean apartments are ok. just depends on where you rent. im in the ghetto. the rent's cheep so it draw's in allot og ghetto pices of SHiiit!

I won't pass up free rent.
Lets look at the benefits. If I stay at my parents home, I get to stay under my dad's Blue Cross. Had I moved out, the $500+ of dental work I just had done, would've came out of my pocket. Also, my dad's employers pays for my schooling, had I moved out, I would've had to pay for it out of my own pocket. In all, I can estimate I have saved at $10,000 plus by staying home after I turned 18. I'll put up with unfit parents to save 10k.

i thaught u were AF? they manage everything for you, get to live in a free dorm just like college, give u food if u eat at the chow hall, hell they give you 250 a month for grochery allowance
