I moved out about a week after my 18th birthday. Bought a house when I was 22 (thank you Tosoh) and will build one at 30 (4 more years).

Owning is the way to go. Even in this down housing market, my value is still going up on my house.

Look at it from a parents perspective. You have no job...you may have *some* money saved, but it will be gone fast.

i will be working with my aunt online (thats what she said) , in few weeks. and be making about $25-30 for each item that i sell for her. but my parents dont believe that i will be able to make a living by selling online. so they want me to get a real job. but i dont know. if that thing with my aunt doesnt go thru, than a real job it is.

i live at home and i pay my own way. paid for the truck (parents paid for it, i paid them back), i pay my gas, insurance, we split the cost of school books tho, clothes, anything i want..and for all the girlfriends crap when we go out too.

quit being a mooching dumbass. your in highschool, why do you need your own place. live at home till your 22, or go to a university, like every normal kid (whos parents dont wake them up at 12:01am on their 18th birthday with a suitcase and say get out)

My assumption is he is a spoiled brat. His parents have to have money if they are living in Bloomfield, and the way he gripes about wanting to get a free ride, he must be spoiled.

Spoiled, perhaps, but a loser? I don't think where he lives should define him. That is basically saying all people in the ghetto are criminals, all those in upper class areas are bound to be better.

I agree with you though t-money, he should get a job, prove himself, then get the apartment.
