my box is 3.3ft^3, what should i do and what is the best enclosure volume

Thx dude, for a Qtc of 0.9 i got a volume of 2.9ft^3 and F3=40.3Hz, although i dunno how the sound will differ for different Qtc of the box....for my box i found out the Qtc is now:0.865, F3=39.7Hz, is this good?? whats the difference between the two, soundwise. Should i decrease, increase the volume..?

I would like the bass to be powerfull and want it to extend

I will try to hit a Qtc of 0.9 by decreasing my volume to 2.9ft^3, but dunno if it will be different from my 3.3ft^3 box output

Cone on guys, u think is it will differ to change the box from a Qtc of 0.85 to 0.9?:S

Are you happy with the sound of the box now?

If so, leave it alone.

The smaller box will require more power to get as loud as it is now and to play as low.

If you have compression at louder volumes now, then I would go down to the smaller box.

Probably won't sound a whole lot different to the ear.

Do you have any room to build a larger enclosure? Try dropping the Qtc down to around .7

well dude i am using the maximum available room, i can add polifyll....but i am not happy with the spl,+ sub ir reaching its maximum mechanical excursion and i want more power:S If i go down to 0.7 Qtc, i think that as soon as i turn the gain up, i will reach maximum sub excursion dunno if a ported box will give me better spl and better low frequency extension:S But for my sub xw-1500 they recomend a sealed box. I am happy with my bass when i cranck the volume, but if i get close to the sub , i can hear the cone hitting its maximum height toc toc toc, thats y i though a smaller box might give me the same powerfull bass without the cone being ****ed up Thx
